Our Mission
At Sopranojam Music Studio, we are committed to building confident students through singing and piano instruction and performance experiences.
Our Story
The origins of SJMS date all the way back to 2001! Founder Julie Stone began giving music lessons to the students of Dayspring Christian Academy "on the side" as she taught music theory and developed the choral program. As the studio grew, Julie narrowed her teaching focus to piano and voice instruction. In the last few years, the studio has taken on a different landscape in order to serve more students by adding Discover Your Voice Camp and the Explore Singing and Piano with Friends classes. As we invite more passionate teachers and develop more programs, we are excited to teach and grow more students who love music and who desire to become more confident!

Confidence is at the heart of how we teach at SJMS. Julie's experiences as a young, talented singer and musician who lacked a lot of confidence have shaped her teaching passion and strategies to provide both mindset training and "just manageable difficulty" to her students (of all ages!) so that they can become, not just confident musicians, but confident people, ready to share their unique gifts with others!
Meet Julie
Julie Stone, founder and instructor
Julie has been teaching music in varying degrees since 2001. She has a BA in Music Education and Vocal Performance.

She loves teaching students of all ages to discover their voices and overcome their fears. She is known for her simple, sometimes silly, singing strategies that help singers unlock their voices quickly! She is energetic, positive, encouraging, and pays close attention to each student’s individual needs and learning styles.

Julie loves to create new classes, curriculum, and scripts to help her students learn better.
​
She is married to Dan, has 4 children, and loves to perform whenever she can!
